Thanks to our Parents’ Association who put together some wonderful Story Sacks to help with the development of literacy in our school. Each sack contains a fiction book, a book with related facts and resources which will make the story come alive for the children. Thanks to Irene Cassidy from KLEAR who facilitated and directed the parents during weekly sessions.

These Mammies really are a talented bunch! They have spent the last five or six weeks drawing, painting, sewing, devising games, typing and gathering all sorts of appropriate toys. They hope to continue in September and make even more Story Sacks for us. If any parents out there are interested in joining the group they will be more than welcome.

Have a look at the chicks, quail, pheasants and ducklings we hatched in our school! We love watching them grow and play.

The children in room 9 had fun working in groups to make some creative constructions using recycable materails.

This year in Scoil Bhríde we have ducks, chicks, baby pheasants and baby quail hatching. Here are some of the children holding Allie, Poppy Chick, Super Duck, Dazzle Duck, Lexi, Quacky, Cissy and Sparkles.

Congratulations to the girls and boys who made their First Communion on Sunday 19 May. Thanks to all who were involved in the preparation. Last Tuesday the Parents’ Association treated the children to a party. It looks like they had great fun with the Magician!
